Welcome to Simone website.
As the youngest of five brothers and one sister, I never allowed my siblings or anyone else to plant a seed of doubt as to what God anointed me to do in the industry. So, I held tightly to my roots in radio and television, despite the naysayers. As I matured, I began to feel the burning within my humble spirit to do more with the talents God has bestowed upon me. I also understood the importance of pursuing my formal education in the industry as the Word certainly teaches us that “Faith without work is truly dead.” After matriculating through the Philadelphia Public Schools where I was a student in one of the top magnet programs for students desiring to enter the broadcast journalism profession. I enrolled in Shaw University located in Raleigh, North Carolina – the Nation’s oldest Historically Black Institution in the South as a Mass Communications Major. It was there that I matriculated, continued to grow as an on-air personality, and graduated with a degree in Mass Communications. While at Shaw University, I enhanced my passion for the business even further as an intern personality for 88.9 F.M., where I hosted programing in Gospel, Jazz, and Smooth R&B.

Just as the Lord promised, other opportunities in the profession began to avail themselves to me, and I seized the opportunity to serve as an On-air radio host. That On-air slot allowed me to host a Gospel Music Video Cable Show entitled, “Sounds of Gospel.” Within a short period of time, that broadcast gained increasing popularity and an array of professional engagements and experiences seem to be flowing in my direction. It was a personal testimony to me, that with God on my side, I could do everything but fail. Those subsequent experiences afforded me yet another opportunity that led me to become the anchor of a morning news program at Kent State School of Journalism in the great Sate of Ohio some time later, where, I received recognition and several accolades from influential members of the Journalism staff. Some of those recognitions even resulted in awards for my contributions in progressive programing. While the recognitions were still fresh and noticeable, I made the best of every situation; including sending out my resume to companies that were seeking broadcasters.

To fully appreciate the genesis of my career to date, it is important to look back to 1987, when I landed my first job as a broadcaster at 800 A.M. WTMR based in Camden, New Jersey. And although it was not a position that I initially desired, it was a position that God knew I needed to further nurture my anointed talents as a professional announcer. In fact, that platform provided me with the opportunity to develop myself even further as a dedicated young On-Air personality. Despite my acquired knowledge, numerous awards, professional recognitions and the plethora of accolades that had been bestowed upon me during my collegiate career – there was still a great deal that I needed to learn. Looking back I know that it was those formative years that served me well by allowing me to stay focused and anchored in the Lord. Over a period of time, I would go on to host and produce my own Gospel radio program, “The Malone Gospel Show” which impacted both me and my listeners greatly.

In May of 1995, I worked as an On-Air personality, Music Director, and Special Assistant to the General Manager of 88.1 WPEB-F.M. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Subsequently, that period gave rise to me serving as a Co-host in the Philadelphia market of a popular Gospel music video cable show entitled: VTV Gospel, (“Video to Vision”) a path that I was extremely familiar with as an on-air personality. As a Broadcaster, Educator, and Counselor, one of my professional goals has always been to inspire and motivate young people. A part of that motivation is encapsulated in a booklet I authored – entitled: “How to Become an Effective Radio Broadcaster through WWAM Radio Productions” it serves as an effective instructional tool used by aspiring broadcast trainees.

After cultivating over 25 plus years of experience in a field that I remain passionate about - today you too can see why I hold true to the principles of education. Currently, I am the owner and operator of WWAM Radio Productions, where I serve as the General Manager and Producer of www.FMHDMSRADIO.net, an internet radio station based in the Greater Philadelphia and Delaware areas. In addition, I am a Contributing-Writer and syndicated Columnist to “The Cofield Report” a Philadelphia based magazine. Also, to my numerous radio broadcasting credits, I have interviewed many major national and international recording artists. Periodically, I have served as a keynote speaker at various colleges, universities, and media outlets on a wide range of contemporary subjects that revolve around professional broadcasting. Collectively, I am viewed by many as a trusted voice and well-respected On-Air personality. So, pick-up a copy of my booklet and I will…
Simone’s Biographical Information
I, Anthony Simone Malone, was raised-up in the Church of God in Christ where I first felt the true calling of my broadcasting ministry at the tender age of 15. It was during that period that I started to develop the necessary skills required to fully appreciate and accept the anointing that God has placed on my life. That true anointing has served as the anchor bearer of my twenty-five plus years in the Broadcasting business. In order to fully appreciate that prophetic calling of my ministry, I knew that I would have to continuously develop my craft by working tirelessly and remaining anchored in the Lord.
See You On The Air!
